To enter programming mode on the 1120e

- press the services key twice.
  The services button is located to the left of
  the nagivation keys in the middle of the phone.


you will see a menu

1. Preferences
2. Local Diagnostics
3. Network Configuration
4. Lock Menu

press 3

NOTE ON Nagivation keys

 the up and down arrows will only move the displayed 
 information up and down the left and right arrows 
 will move the cursor up and down through the fields

 pressing the "enter" key in the center of the nagivation
 keys selects the highlighted field to edit, you must
 then press the enter key again to accept the change 
 before moving  to the next field


TO SET THE PHONE TO STATIC IP vs. DHCP OBTAINED IP

1. press the right arrow twice
- you should now have the DHCP field highlighted
- the word "partial" should be displayed
2. press the enter key to change this value
- the DHCP field will now change to a list box
3. press the down arrow once and the up arrow twice to highlight "No"
4. press the enter key to accept that value
5. press the enter key again to accept the change to the DHCP field
6. press the right arrow once
- "Set IP" should be highlighted
7. press the enter key to edit the "Set IP" field
- the first octect in the "set ip" field should now be highlighted
8. using the number keys on the phone enter the IP address 
(an asterisk * is the period)
9. press the enter key to accept the IP address
10 press the right arrow once
- "Net Mask" should be highlighted
11. press the enter key to edit the "net mask" field
- the first octect in the "net mask" field should now be highlighted
12. using the number keys on the phone enter the subnet mask
(an asterisk * is the period)
13. press the enter key to accept the subnet mask
14 press the right arrow once
- "Gateway" should be highlighted
11. press the enter key to edit the "gateway" field
- the first octect in the "gateway" field should now be highlighted
12. using the number keys on the phone enter the default gateway
(an asterisk * is the period)
13. press the enter key to accept the default gateway
14. it is not necessary to specify DNS
15. press "Apply and Reset" button
16. the phone will reboot
