Position Summary
Radiant is seeking a Senior Exchange Administrator to join our Toronto office. You will manage our Private hosted exchange environment to ensure provisioning and uptime is the key focus. You are a guru at designing and implementing robust exchange 2010 environments. You are self-motivated and have experience working effectively with remote teams and at times independently. In addition to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, the ideal candidate's interpersonal and troubleshooting skills should evoke passion and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect solutions to meet our customer’s needs
- Migrate exchange environments to exchange 2010 from exchange 2003, 2007 and from customer sites
- Responsible for planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of Microsoft Exchange architecture as well as supporting common email applications (Outlook, OWA, Mobile based email, OCS)
- Actively participate in the creation of brand and functional strategic roadmaps.
- Share knowledge and consults on messaging best practice
- Assists in developing supporting business cases for new technologies and initiatives
- Communicates business benefits to senior management and across functions.
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in Microsoft Exchange and full knowledge of industry practices
- Mentors less experienced team members officially and unofficially
- Maintain appropriate documentation on the Microsoft Exchange environment
- Provide a point of escalation and support
- Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required
- The ability to follow change management and compliance processes
- Seasoned professional that handles projects with a short- to medium-term focus and of broader scope within own area of expertise
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science of related field
- 7+ years' experience in Information Technology field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in messaging technologies
- 3 to 5 plus years of experience in a systems administration role
- Expert in Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010 with hands on experience in design, architect, install and configure all exchange roles
- Experience with Exchange hosted filtering or other filtering knowledge
- Experience with Exchange in multiple forests is a plus
- Previous experience with migrations to Exchange 2010
- VMWare Experience (Version 4)
- Previous Active Directory Migration Experience
- Experience supporting Windows 2003/2008 Server
- Linux Server Administration Experience (Redhat)
- Monitor systems and network for general health and performance and issues
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS and Domain Services experience
- Knowledge/experience with Public Folders is required
- Experience with Exchange Management Tools (EMC, ADUC, EMS, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to distill technical material down into a message that can be understood across the enterprise
- Ability to analyze data and develop action plans
- Adaptability to multi-task and work under deadlines
- Exchange 2007/2010 Certification Preferred
