Radiant Updates New Product Launch and Announces New Board Appointment
February 5, 2008 (Vancouver, BC) – Radiant Communications Corp. ("Radiant") (TSX Venture Exchange: RCN), Canada's leading supplier of broadband solutions for business, today announced that in the first 30 days of availability 5 major customers totalling more than 360 seats have ordered AlwaysThere™ Hosted Exchange.
“Having stress tested our new AlwaysThere Hosted Exchange product with beta customers throughout Q4 of 2007, January is really the first month we have been prepared to provision and install on a commercial basis,” said David Buffett, President and CEO of Radiant. “I am very pleased to report that five significant customers totalling over 360 seats are now contracted with over half of these seats provisioned and generating revenue today. Virtualization has become the new standard for cost and power efficient operation of data centers. Radiant is leveraging this new technology to deliver industry-standard, mission critical applications like Microsoft Exchange as Software-as-a-Service, thereby enabling small and medium businesses to save money, reduce complexity, and enhance business continuity.”
Radiant is also pleased to announce that Mr. Ian Power has been appointed to the Radiant Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Power has been a Chartered Accountant in Vancouver for over 28 years. Mr. Power has been Chief Financial Officer of a number of Vancouver-based companies including Norsat International Inc., Starcom International Inc. and Strand Capital Corporation. He is currently an Independent consultant in corporate finance and accounting and is an independant director of Pender Growth Fund (VCC) Inc.
